This refers to China’s overall plan for building socialism with Chinese characteristics, that is, to promote coordinated progress in the economic, political, cultural, social and eco-environmental fields.
“四個全面”戰(zhàn)略布局：Four-pronged Comprehensive Strategy
指中國特色社會主義事業(yè)戰(zhàn)略布局，包括全面建成小康社會、全面深化改革、全面依法治國、全面從嚴(yán)治黨。
This refers to China’s strategic plan for building socialism with Chinese characteristics, that is, to make comprehensive moves to complete a moderately prosperous society in all respects, to further reform, to advance the rule of law, and to strengthen Party self-governance.
社會主義核心價值觀：core socialist values
富強(qiáng)、民主、文明、和諧是國家層面的價值要求，自由、平等、公正、法治是社會層面的價值要求，愛國、敬業(yè)、誠信、友善是公民層面的價值要求。
The core socialist values: prosperity, democracy, civility and harmony are values that underpin our nation; freedom, equality, justice and the rule of law are values that buttress our society; patriotism, dedication, good faith and amity are values that underlie individual conduct.
“兩個一百年”奮斗目標(biāo)：Two Centenary Goals
2012年11月，中共十八大提出，在中國共產(chǎn)黨成立100年時全面建成小康社會，在新中國成立100年時建成富強(qiáng)民主文明和諧的社會主義現(xiàn)代化國家。中共十九大提出新時代中國特色社會主義發(fā)展的戰(zhàn)略安排：第一個階段，從2020年到2035年，在全面建成小康社會的基礎(chǔ)上，再奮斗15年，基本實現(xiàn)社會主義現(xiàn)代化；第二個階段，從2035年到本世紀(jì)中葉，在基本實現(xiàn)現(xiàn)代化的基礎(chǔ)上，再奮斗15年，把我國建成富強(qiáng)民主文明和諧美麗的社會主義現(xiàn)代化強(qiáng)國。
The Two Centenary Goals were put forth by the CPC at its 18th National Congress in November 2012 for building socialism with Chinese characteristics. The two centenary goals are to complete a moderately prosperous society in all respects by the centenary of the CPC (founded in 1921) and to build China into a modern socialist country that is prosperous, strong, democratic, culturally advanced, and harmonious by the centenary of the PRC (founded in 1949). The CPC drew up a development plan for the new era at its 19th National Congress. In the first stage from 2020 to 2035, we will build on the foundation of the moderately prosperous society with a further 15 years of hard work to see that socialist modernization is basically realized. In the second stage from 2035 to the middle of the 21st century having achieved basic modernization, we will work hard for a further 15 years and develop China into a great modern socialist country that is prosperous, strong, democratic, culturally advanced, harmonious, and beautiful.
“三步走”戰(zhàn)略目標(biāo)：The three-step strategic plan for modernization
指中國分“三步走”基本實現(xiàn)現(xiàn)代化的發(fā)展戰(zhàn)略。1987年10月，中共十三大提出：第一步到20世紀(jì)80年代末，實現(xiàn)國民生產(chǎn)總值比1980年翻一番，解決人民的溫飽問題；第二步到20世紀(jì)末，使國民生產(chǎn)總值再增長一倍，人民生活達(dá)到小康水平；第三步到21世紀(jì)中葉，人均國民生產(chǎn)總值達(dá)到中等發(fā)達(dá)國家水平，人民生活比較富裕，基本實現(xiàn)現(xiàn)代化。
It refers to China’s development strategy for realizing initial modernization in three steps. The 13th CPC National Congress in October 1987 put forth doubling the 1980 GNP by the end of the 1980s and ensuring that the people would have adequate food and clothing as the first step; doubling the 1990 GNP by the end of the 20th century and ensuring the people a moderately prosperous life as the second step; and increasing the per capita GNP level to that of moderately developed countries, ensuring the people a relatively affluent life, and realizing basic modernization by the middle of the 21st century as the third step.
“兩不愁三保障”：Two Assurances and Three Guarantees
指不愁吃、不愁穿，義務(wù)教育、基本醫(yī)療和住房安全有保障。
This refers to assurances of adequate food and clothing, and guarantees of access to compulsory education, basic medical services and safe housing for impoverished rural residents.
